With the first few signs of spring returning and some much welcomed sunshine out and about in Bristol this week, my mind has wandered to those days and and about in the fresh air with a good old fashioned fish and chips!

There’s nothing like having a proper fish and chips. Here at the Beer Emporium we try and keep our version as close to the real deal as possible!

Normally our Fresh Cod fillets come from our fish suppliers in Devon and are portioned into generous chunks of meaty white fish before being battered and fried on site to order. This month we have a slight exception as we are using smoked haddock instead of cod. This is a traditionally Irish take, however it works just as well giving a lovely rich smokey flavor.
All our chips are hand cut in the kitchen and again cooked to order. Our fish and chips are served with a zingy tatare sauce and flavorsome minted pea puree!

The only thing we won’t do is serve it to you in a newspaper!!
